My name is Renato (he/him/his), and I am an evolutionary biologist who studies insect biodiversity and biogeography. I want to understand how abiotic and biotic factors impact diversification and lead to speciation.
I received a PhD in the Ecology, Evolutionary Biology, and Behavior Subprogram (EEB) from the City University of New York (CUNY). I conduct research that uses DNA and computational tools to describe and understand butterfly diversity.Â
